Peugeot has unveiled the all-electric E-5008, an electrifying addition to the family SUV market. Up until now, the 5008 could only be acquired with a petrol or diesel engine, however that will all change this Autumn when the new fully electric E-5008 becomes available to lease.

With an impressive 410-mile range, the E-5008 is redefining what it means to drive an affordable, seven-seat electric vehicle. At launch, the E-5008 will be available in two trims, the Allure and GT, each offering ample room with up to seven seats, catering to various preferences and ensuring there’s space for the entire family.

Leading its class with a range that exceeds even the most well-established competitors, the E-5008's ‘Long range Single Motor’ variant boasts a 98 kWh battery delivering 228 hp, capable of up to 410 miles on a single charge. Two additional powertrains will also be available, an entry-level 73 kWh battery with 211 hp and a powerful dual-motor setup producing 320 hp, both offering ranges of up to 311 miles.

Peugeot has struck a perfect balance with the E-5008, crafting an exterior that exudes both robustness and elegance. Its striking 'triple claw' daytime running lights echo Peugeot’s design heritage, while the overall 'powerful and refined' styling ensures that it stands out in a crowded market. Setting it apart is a chequerboard grille in the same colour as the body and an array of alloy wheel designs between 19 and 20 inches. All this is complete with a bold rear design.

Inside, the E-5008 boasts a spectacular 21-inch 'Panoramic i-Cockpit,' combining a large central touchscreen with a driver display. Ambient LED lighting underpins the floating design of the panoramic display, while the heated compact steering wheel in GT models and the state-of-the-art infotainment system underscore its premium feel.

The E-5008 stays ahead of the curve with wireless phone mirroring via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an advanced sat nav system, and the innovative voice command function enhanced by Chat GPT, offering an intelligent and responsive driving experience.

Safety is a priority with the new E-5008, featuring a standard-fit reversing camera and available technologies such as adaptive cruise control, semi-automatic lane change, and advanced speed recommendation.

Room for the whole family? Check. Ample boot space? Check. Whether accommodating passengers or cargo, the E-5008 flexes to meet your needs. With seven seats occupied, the boot offers a practical 259 litres of space, expanding to a generous 748 litres with five seats in use, and an expansive 1,815 litres with the rear seats folded.

Equipped with a standard 11kW three-phase charger and an optional 22kW charger, the E-5008 ensures that you stay on the move with minimal downtime. Its CCS port facilitates rapid charging up to 160kW, replenishing the battery from 20-80% in a mere 30 minutes.

With autumn just around the corner, the E-5008 is definitely one more reason to stir excitement. Competitive in price, the seven-seater vehicle claims to offer unbeatable value, thus being a readily available open door for families and professionals to electric luxury.

With further details set to be released later in the year, the Peugeot E-5008 is on track to set a new benchmark for electric family SUVs.
